Our 2014 VBS “Faith Expedition” is July 21-25 from 9am – 12noon.  Join us for an exciting week of learning from the Bible with songs, crafts and activities!

We will be starting our next newcomer’s class on Sunday, March 2.  This eight-week class will meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45am in the Mezzanine.  Our goal will be to address two basic questions: the first is “What does Tabernacle believe?” and the second is “Where do I fit at Tabernacle?”  Please email the church office at office@tab-pres.org to RSVP.  The class is open to all, and is a prerequisite to membership at Tabernacle.

Come explore the most monumental story ever recorded: a story filled with intrigue, drama, and real life accounts of God at work in the universe.  This new series will walk us through the whole Bible from creation to consummation. The series will be taught by a number of teachers and will utilize the book,What’s in the Bible? by R.C. Sproul & Robert Wolgemuth and will include individual reading, group discussion, a survey of “hot topics” and a season of prayer.  Books cost $10 and will be available in the foyer this Sunday.  Please join us this Sunday morning at 9:45am in the Sanctuary.

Bill Landes recently led the adult discipleship class as a time set apart for us to remember thousands of our Christian brothers and sisters around the world who suffer persecution, simply because they confess Jesus Christ as Lord.  We learned more about Christ’s church around the world and how we can more effectively pray for them.  Below are two links to the videos that were shown during the class.

Does your sanity really need to be restored?  At Tabernacle we sometimes use the phrase “restoring our sanity” when we talk about the ways that worship helps us to re-focus on what is true so that we might live our lives as viewed through the lens of the Gospel.  Please join us Sunday mornings at 9:45am as we explore the ways that corporate worship helps us to live out the Gospel in a fallen world.

Home Groups at Tabernacle are starting the week of Sept 8th.  These groups are designed to promote fellowship and discipleship within our church family and are an important place where you are known and cared for here at Tabernacle.  For the first five weeks all groups will be studying “Your Walk with God is a Community Project” DVD series by Paul David Tripp.  After that, the study material will vary by group for the remainder of the semester.

Locations and times are summarized below.  More detail is available in the weekly bulletin or by contacting the office.

Waynesboro – Mondays at 7:00pm, Tuesdays at 7:00pm

Fishersville – Wednesdays at 3:30pm

Stuarts Draft – Wednesdays at 7:00pm, Sundays at 5:00pm

Verona – Thursdays at 7:00pm

Come join us on April 19th from 7-9 pm at the church to enjoy an evening of tasty appetizers and terrific auction items to benefit the Guatemala mission trip.  Some of the auction items are three 1-hour horse back riding lessons, car washes, a night at The Inn At Ragged Edge in Gettysburg, manicures, massages, wine basket, Mary Kay goodies, Little Debbie basket and much more. During the month of September the adult discipleship class will focus on FAITH and be led by Pat Patterson.  We will look at what it is, how we live it, how we grow it and obstacles to the exercise of our faith.  So bring your faith stories and come join the discussion.

Home Groups at Tabernacle are starting in September.  These groups are designed to promote fellowship and discipleship in our church family.  If you’re not part of a home group, NOW is the time to find one and get plugged in. These groups are great places for building community, for building deep friendship and relationship, and for finding brothers and sisters to walk with through the joys and challenges of life.

Locations and times are available in the weekly bulletin, in the downloadable 2012 Homegroups Brochure, and by contacting the office.

We are so thankful that many Tabernacle members and attenders have already filled out a service profile.  We’re praying that God will use this tool to help us enlist and equip the Body for service.  If you have not filled one out yet, there will be extra copies in the sanctuary for the next few weeks.  Please take the time to complete it so that we can update our database.  You can place the form in the offering basket or bring it by the church office.  Thank you so much!  If you have any questions, feel free to contact the office
