Tabernacle-Staunton becomes Holy Cross Presbyterian
October 4th, 2009During the 29th meeting of the Blue Ridge Presbytery on October 10, 2009, the presbytery will be asked to vote on approving “mission church” status for Holy Cross Presbyterian Church. Once passed, the Presbytery will appoint an organizing pastor and a temporary Session of elders and with that act, the church that has been meeting as Tabernacle-Staunton will become Holy Cross Presbyterian Church – an official mission church of the Presbyterian Church in America!
The first worship service as Holy Cross Presbyterian will be a joint service with both the Tabernacle Staunton and Tabernacle Waynesboro congregations meeting together on Sunday 10AM, October 11th at the Staunton location. Holy Cross Presbyterian will receive its first new members and we will celebrate with communion together during worship as well as a fellowship meal after the service. The church is providing fried chicken and asking regular attenders and members to bring side dishes, desserts, and drinks to enjoy together as well as serve our guests.
We’ll see you there!
