Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes
September 22nd, 2009Now that fall activities are in full swing, it is time to think about filling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Samaritans Purse distributes the shoe boxes we fill to children in poor, war torn and disaster areas around the world. Gospel books in the children’s language are added to the boxes. These are usually the only gifts these children receive. They are excited to know that people from other parts of the world care about them and want to show them the love of Jesus. A note from you would be an extra blessing. Boxes for boys 2-4 and 10-14 are especially needed. Please pick up a brochure from the display in the foyer with a list of suggested items and a package label. The children will be picking up the boxes and taking them up to the front of the church on October 18th. If you have any questions call Marty Johnson, 942-6853.
