Tabernacle to Host Multi-Site Presbytery, Oct 9-10
September 22nd, 2009Tabernacle is pleased to be hosting the fall meeting of the Blue Ridge Presbytery, October 9-10. While this is officially the 29th stated meeting of our “regional church”, it will be our first multi-site gathering. Friday night we will meet in Staunton for our communion worship service and fellowship, and Saturday we will meet in Waynesboro for seminars and for the regular work of the presbytery.
You are welcome to attend any or all of the presbytery’s functions, but we would especially invite you to come and worship with the other pastors and elders from our region on Friday at 7:30pm at the Grace Christian Middle School gym (511 Thornrose Ave).
Saturday will begin at 8:30am at the Waynesboro site with a devotional and several church planting seminar options. Later that morning or sometime that afternoon (depending on the docket), the presbytery will vote to grant “mission” status to Holy Cross Presbyterian Church. The following day, Sunday, October 11, we will all worship together in Staunton at 10:00am to commission this new church!
